I have been planning to publish this blog for over a year now! I was having trouble directing my ideas into something neat and packageable. I love theatre, film and TV and I always have so many things to say about the things I watch, but nobody to say them to. And that may still be true, but this is cooler than a diary so I’ll continue.
This blog aims to review shows in the larger sense of the word ‘review’. Theatre and film reviews are usually short, snappy, spoiler-free and leave much to the imagination. My reviews will be borderline thinkpieces and discussions. I enjoy nothing more than delving into the depths of pertinent issues brought up in performances/shows, and discussing their various interpretations and wider societal effects. If that sounds dire then maybe my blog isn’t for you.
I blog for the people who Wikipedia a film after they’ve watched it.
I blog for the people who have group chats dedicated to post-show discussion.
I blog for the people who get overly invested in fan-theory even after a show has ended.
